Approach

Evidence-based means the strategies I share are tested, proven, and rooted in science—not just a viral tip that may or may not fit your child’s needs.

Training and Expertise

As a Child Development Specialist with a master’s degree, my knowledge comes from university level courses in child psychology, brain development, family systems theory and behavior management from the works of top developmental theorists including Piaget, Erikson and Vygotsky and modern neuroscience findings on child behavior and mental health. I am versed in peer-reviewed studies on what works for children with anxiety, ADHD, autism, sensory processing challenges and other developmental differences. The evidence I use comes from longitudinal studies that follow children over years to see how different parenting approaches impact their well-being. My practices following recommendations from organizations including American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The strategies I teach are validated by psychologists, pediatricians and child development experts. My 30 years of experience combined with my 26 years of being a mother, has helped me to refine what works in real homes, not just in theory.

Social media advice often comes from personal experience alone, which may not apply to every child or family. My knowledge of child development ensures strategies are right for your child’s age, temperament, and individual needs. Evidence-based approaches prevent the spread of myths or harmful practices.

At the heart of my approach, I take a whole-child perspective, looking at emotional, cognitive, and physical development. There is no one-size-fits all advice. Together we will decide upon strategies tailored to your child’s unique strengths and challenges. I also focus on strengthening your parent-child relationship which results in greater connection, trust and emotional well-being for both your child and you.

I consider YOU to be the expert on your child, while I am the expert on child development and together, we find the very best approach for your child and family.
